We are a family-run grocery store and purveyor of fine foods. We have been serving the Naples community since 1938, featuring fine gourmet food, including special order cuts of meats and cheeses, fine wine and beverages, our ‘from scratch” fine bakery and a deli that features international delicacies, American classics and Wynn Family favorites from Annie Wynn’s own recipes.

The Position

Deli Associate

Your primary responsibility will be to amaze every customer each time they come in with excellent customer service. You will be assisting our guests with product selection, making recommendations, answering the customers’ questions about our products and also weighing/packaging and pricing product items.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactively assist customers with all requests
• Maintain department inventory and appearance through proper receiving, rotation, storage, cleaning, organization, stocking, sampling and creative merchandising.
• Properly recording all merchandise returns, damaged products, spoilage, and breakage.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate signage.
• Use kitchen and packaging equipment properly.
• Assist other team members in achieving the goals of the department and the store.
• Know store layout/product location to refer the customer to the appropriate aisle when asked.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow Department of Health regulations
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Strong communication skills
• Organize prioritize and accomplish tasks with little or no supervision.
• Experience in Deli and related experience is a PLUS !

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 pounds with a maximum weight of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; climb and balance on step stool/ladder; stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work safely around kitchen machinery and sharp knives.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to pass drug and background checks
